Georgia wrapped up their SEC season with a 7-1 record after their dominant win over Texas on Saturday. Typically a 7-1 record is good enough for Georgia to make the SEC Championship game, but that is not the case right now.

No team in the conference has guaranteed their spot in the championship game yet, and that includes Georgia who needs one of a few scenarios to occur to make it there. Georgia won't learn if they make the SEC Championship game until the final week of the regular season, but ESPN analytics believe Georgia has a great chance to make it there.

ESPN predicts Georgia will make the SEC Championship game

The above post shows the four most likely matchups in the SEC Championship game. The most likely matchup is a rematch from earlier this season where Georgia would have a chance to get some revenge against Alabama. This matchup has a 38 percent chance of occurring according to ESPN, but there are a few other opponents Georgia could play as well.

Texas A&M is another opponent that Georgia could play, and that matchup has a 19 percent chance of occurring. A rematch with Ole Miss could also occur as well, and that has a 10 percent chance of taking place.

Alabama and Texas A&M are another likely matchup as well, but even though the Aggies are the only undefeated team remaining in the SEC they do not have as great of a chance as Georgia and Alabama to make the title game. That is because their final conference game of the season is against Texas who stands a very good chance at beating them.

All Georgia can do at this point is sit back and see how this unfolds. So Georgia needs to focus on winning their final two non-conference games and hope that things work out in their favor so they can have a chance to repeat as SEC Champions.
