Georgia football's playoff journey is set to begin in a little over a week. The Bulldogs are hoping to find more success this season after a disappointing exit in the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff last year, and after watching them dominate Alabama in the SEC Championship game it looks promising that they will do much better.
Georgia is predicted to beat Ole Miss in their matchup at the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1, but everyone wants to do much better than win one game this year. ESPN however doesn't think Georgia will do much better than that, and their latest prediction will make every UGA fan very upset.

Georgia fans will be furious at ESPN's latest prediction
ESPN released their odds for all eight remaining teams to win the National Championship, and Georgia came in with the fourth best odds at 10.6 percent. ESPN has Ohio State and Indiana both with better odds which isn't that surprising, but the gap between UGA and those teams is much larger than it should be.
Oregon however is the one team that makes no sense. The Ducks just beat James Madison in their first round playoff game by 17 points which is a fairly comfortable margin, but the Ducks gave up 34 points on defense.
So why does a team that let James Madison score 34 points have better odds of winning a National Championship than Georgia?
Georgia has a difficult path in front of them to win a national title, there is no denying that. They have to beat Ole Miss on Jan. 1 and then will likely have to get past Ohio State just to make it to the title. However, it wouldn't be surprising to see Georgia win both of those games, but it would be shocking if Oregon won their next game against Texas Tech let alone win three more games.
