Four-star defensive lineman Anthony Lonon Jr. might be a new name for Georgia football fans on the recruiting trail. He however is someone that Georgia fans need to learn about now because he is one of the fastest rising recruits in the country. He also appears to be extremely high on Kirby Smart and Georgia based on the below social media post.

Georgia likely top school for 4-star DL
Lonon has announced a final four that consists of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest and NC State. It was unclear who Lonon's top school was out of this group before Wednesday because almost no information emerged about his recruitment after he officially visited all four of these schools this June.
The above post however shows that the leader in his recruitment very well could be Georgia.
The first reason why this might be the case is because Lonon is seen working out in Georgia gloves in the above video. Lonon could have chosen to wear gear from any of his finalists, but he chose UGA out of all four schools. This detail sometimes doesn't mean anything for some recruits, but coupling that detail with the fact that he is a legacy recruit for Georgia is very telling.
The most exciting thing about Lonon is that he recently saw a huge bump in his ranking. Rivals applied an update to their recruiting rankings on Monday, and Lonon went from unranked all the way up to No. 270. 247Sports gave Lonon a similar increase on Wednesday as well as they rank him the No. 288 player in the country.
No commitment date is set for Lonon yet, but he realistically could announce his commitment any day now. And while no official prediction has been made in his recruitment yet, there is hope that Lonon could be the player who replaces five-star defensive lineman James Johnson in Georgia's recruiting class.
