Things can change at any moment in the recruitments for the top players in the country. That has most certainly been the case with the No. 1 quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class, Jared Curtis.

Georgia has been battling Oregon as Curtis’s two finalists for quite some time now, and their pursuit of Curtis has really been heating up these last couple days. That’s because Curtis will announce his commitment at 5:30 pm EST on May 5.

There have been a lot of twists in Curtis’s recruitment, but none were greater than when he cancelled his final two visits scheduled with UGA and Oregon on May 4. That means he likely has made his decision on where he will end up and is waiting to share that decision with the college football world on Monday.

And while Georgia and Oregon fans wait for that decision, one final piece of information surrounding NIL has become public.

Jared Curtis turned down largest NIL offer

Quarterbacks are the position that can make the most NIL money, with many QBs making upwards of $3-4 million annually. Considering Curtis is the No. 1 QB in the country, he very easily could make that much. But Jeff Sentel with Dawg Nation shared that Curtis is not going with the school that made the highest NIL offer.

That means both Georgia and Oregon did not make the largest bid for Curtis. This also means NIL isn’t that big of a factor for Curtis, which is great news for UGA since it’s likely Oregon has a bigger offer on the table for Curtis than Georgia does.

Time will tell if Curtis picks Georgia or not, but this is just another reason for UGA fans to be hopeful. So stay tuned as an official prediction in Curtis’s recruitment could come out any second.
