Florida's offense had a lot of big questions on their injury report heading into Saturday's game against Georgia. The Gators didn't know which of their quarterbacks would be able to play at the start of the week and two of their three best wide receivers were injured as well.

Just one hour before kickoff though star wide receiver Vernell Brown was ruled out. This news was bad enough for Florida's offense, but there's a chance they could be without fellow receiver Bailey Stockton as well who has had an even better season this year too.

Florida could be without Vernell Brown and Bailey Stockton

Brown is the Gators' third leading receiver this season both in total receptions and receiving yards. Stockton on the other hand is No. 2 on the team in receptions and receiving yards. Florida still has their top pass catcher available in Dallas Wilson, but missing their No. 2 and No. 3 option would be tough to overcome.

That is especially the case because Georgia's secondary is healthy again with KJ Bolden likely returning to the lineup for this game.

Florida still has capable pass catchers beneath Brown and Stockton on the depth chart, but beating Georgia without both players would be a tall task.

Florida could make up for their absence by playing both of their quarterbacks

One way Florida could overcome the loss of both players is by mixing it up at quarterback. Aaron Philo, who's started six of seven games this season, was announced as the starter for this game, but backup Tramell Jones is available as well.

At the start of the week Philo and Jones were both questionable to play. Some Florida fans wanted Jones to get the nod and start since he just led them to victory at Texas in their last game, but Florida's coaching staff has gone with Philo instead.

They however could still play Jones as well. He is a far more effective runner than Philo, and that is the type of quarterback Georgia struggles with the most. Just two weeks ago Auburn beat Georgia in Athens because their quarterback ran for 115 yards.

Knowing this it would be silly for Florida to not give Jones some playing time, but for Georgia it would be nice to see him on the sideline for the entire game.

Only time will tell with Stockton's availability and if Jones plays, but the injury bug is not being friendly to Florida's offense heading into this game.
