Florida has a potential problem looming at quarterback. Starting QB Aaron Philo did not play in their last game two weeks ago at Texas, and his status remains uncertain heading into this weekend's rivalry game against Georgia.
His backup, Tramell Jones, started in his place and led Florida to their upset win over Texas two weeks ago. He however is injured too, and earlier this week it was reported that they were both practicing but were still dealing with their injuries. That was confirmed on Wednesday night's official injury report when both Philo and Jones were marked questionable to play against Georgia this weekend.

Georgia could get the gift of a lifetime against Florida
Both Florida quarterbacks would be a huge threat to Georgia. They have each had their issues this season with Philo playing a big part in their two losses and Jones throwing two interceptions in his limited playing time, but they both have big wins they can hang their hats on.
Georgia however could get lucky and not have to play either quarterback. The chances of that seem slim since they are questionable to play and have been practicing this week, but until they are officially ruled available to play anything is possible.
Georgia would still have to be careful even if they are both ruled out because two years ago they were tied against Florida in the fourth quarter when the Gators had to play their third string quarterback. UGA however will take their chances against their third string this year compared to the two quarterbacks who have a win over Ole Miss and Texas already this season.
Florida's unknown at QB could help them
Florida's big question at quarterback could end up helping them in the long run though. As mentioned it feels like one of them will be able to play this weekend, but at this point it's impossible to predict who it will be. That means Georgia has to spend their time preparing for both players when they'd be better off being able to focus their attention on one of the two this week.
Philo may be the preferred starter for Georgia out of these two players. He is much less of a threat as a runner, and everyone saw two weeks ago against Auburn how much they struggled against a mobile quarterback. Philo on the other hand is a much better passer, so Georgia will have to pick their poison based on who starts.
Georgia is a double digit favorite so they will be expected to win regardless of who starts at quarterback for Florida. Sure it would be nice to get to play their third string, but they have to be ready to play Philo or Jones because chances are one of them will be ready to play by this weekend.
