Georgia dominated Florida all game long on Saturday and came away with an easy 27-8 victory. The Bulldogs however didn't play great, especially on offense, but they still played well enough to win which is the only thing that matters.
Florida on the other hand played one of their worst games of the season. Throughout the entire game they kept shooting themselves in the foot whether it be another costly turnover or a penalty at the worst time. These mistakes led Florida wide receiver Bailey Stockton to say that they beat themselves instead of giving Georgia the credit they deserve for winning this game.

Florida gave the game away, but Georgia still deserves credit
Bailey Stockton is partially correct because Florida did play horribly for much of this game. They had four costly turnovers, which most of them could've been avoided, while also having a roughing the kicker penalty that gifted Georgia their first touchdown of the game.
Georgia however still deserves credit because they took advantage of the opportunities Florida gave them. Sure Florida gave the game away at times, but if Georgia didn't capitalize on their mistakes then Florida still would've had a chance to win. Instead Georgia took advantage of Florida's mistakes and put the game out of reach in the first half.
That is what sports typically comes down to. Every team makes mistakes every game they play, but the elite teams are the ones who take advantage of those mistakes and punish their opponent for it. Florida didn't do that when Georgia made some mistakes on Saturday while UGA did take advantage of their mistakes, and that's why they deserved to win this game.
Florida has another year of watching Georgia from home
Saturday's result gave Florida their third loss of the season. All three losses have been in conference play too so the Gators not only have played their way out of the playoff conversation but they aren't in the running to make the SEC Championship game anymore either.
Georgia on the other hand is the current favorite to win the SEC and College Football Playoff. While Georgia plays to accomplish both of these goals Florida will do what they've grown used to, watching UGA from home.
2014 marked the start of the playoff era in college football. When talking about recent program success this is a good year to go back to, and since 2014 Florida has watched Georgia accomplish everything they can't from the comfort of their homes.
During this time frame Georgia has made it to the SEC Championship game eight times, won the conference four times, made the College Football Playoff five times and won a national title twice. Florida on the other hand have only made the SEC Championship game three times and lost each game. They also have zero playoff appearances to their name as well.
Bailey Stockton can act like Georgia didn't earn this win, but in reality that just isn't true. Regardless of what he or anyone else says the entire Florida football program and fan base will be watching Georgia play for championships the rest of the season while they play essentially meaningless football the rest of the season.
