Georgia football found a lot of success on the recruiting trail this offseason, but they also had their fair share of tough losses as well. One of those losses came at the hands of SEC rival Texas who stole defensive lineman James Johnson from UGA.
Johnson has only been a member of Texas's recruiting class for one month, but On3's Steve Wiltfong shared that he will be heading to visit Miami (FL) next weekend when they take on Notre Dame in their season opener.
Miami is still on “the mind heavy” for Rivals five-star and No. 1 DL James JJ Johnson. The Texas commit will attend the Hurricanes primetime Sunday night game against Notre Dame. More on where Johnson’s process stands here: https://t.co/0GvLil6OBX pic.twitter.com/pScO5yIUMb

Former Georgia commit is looking to flip again
As mentioned, Johnson was originally committed to Georgia throughout a portion of this summer. His commitment to UGA however did not last long.
Johnson announced his commitment to Georgia on June 28, but just two weeks later on July 15 he decided to flip his commitment to the Longhorns. Who knows why Johnson even committed to Georgia in the first place if he was willing to ditch UGA so fast, but he unfortunately didn't stick with the Bulldogs this summer.
Fast forward just one month and Wiltfong is reporting that Johnson once again is looking to change his commitment. It's important to note that Johnson is still committed to Texas, but based on how fast he decommitted from Georgia last month the Longhorns could suffer that same fate at any point.
A previous report earlier this month also indicated that Florida is attempting to flip Johnson as well, and there is a good chance he will take a vist there at some point this season too. Georgia however is not a team that has ever been mentioned in Johnson's recruitment since he originally flipped to Texas, so there is no reason to think he may come back to Athens for a visit this season.
And even though Johnson is the No. 1 defensive lineman in the country, Georgia fans are more than fine to let him go since he did UGA dirty just last month.
