Georgia is better off without him.

Every Georgia football fan will remember the name Damon Wilson. He could have been remembered for being a stellar defensive lineman for UGA, but he chose a different path. He chose a path of betrayal as he chose to enter the Transfer Portal after the 2024 season and head to Missouri where controversy has followed him.

Wilson has now entered the Transfer Portal for the second time, and he is once again making headlines for all the wrong reasons as he is asking for a ridiculous amount of money from his suitors.

Georgia has never been more thankful for a player to have left their program

According to On3's Shannon Terry, Wilson is asking schools for well over $2 million. He is a very talented player, no one can deny that, but is he worth that much money? Not even close.

This isn't the first time that Wilson has made news for all the wrong reasons as he was previously accussed by Georgia of not paying his NIL buyout when he left Athens last offseason. Wilson claimed he did nothing wrong and is suing Georgia as well, but his decision to leave Missouri and request a massive NIL offer won't help his case.

Georgia fans were very sad to see Wilson leave Athens last offseason. He was projected to be a starter on Georgia's defensive line this year, so losing him was very difficult to see. That sadness came even more apparent after Wilson began dominating at Missouri. But after all of this alleged controversy broke during the season Georgia fans now want nothing to do to him.

And by the looks of it Missouri probably wants nothing to do with him either.

Will someone risk taking a chance on him for over $2 million? Probably, but there is a good chance they will learn to regret that decision just like Georgia and Missouri have.
