Former Georgia DT has funny moment during visit to Penn State

It’s always nice to remind everyone who’s on top of the college football world.

While Georgia football and Kirby Smart are being very active in the transfer portal themselves this offseason, the entire portal itself is booming with transfers who are in the midst of taking a lot of recruiting visits. And while UGA is actively involved in this process right now, so to are former Georgia Bulldogs who are either leaving the program or who have left the program in the past.

One of those players is former defensive tackle Bear Alexander, who transferred from Georgia to USC after the 2022 season.

During his one season at Georgia in 2022, Alexander finished with nine tackles and two sacks. His best game of that season came in the National Championship game against TCU when he recorded two tackles which included a sack. But he made the decision to enter the transfer portal after that game and head to USC where he has spent the last two years.

However, Alexander is looking to make a move again this offseason after a somewhat controversial decision to sit out the rest of the season after USC's third game to preserve his redshirt and transfer. So after waiting the entire season, he has now officially entered the transfer portal and is taking visits to other schools.

And during his visit to Penn State, a funny moment occurred that is a great reminder of his time and success he found at Georgia.

Bear Alexander flexes Georgia "G" in recruiting photos

While visiting Penn State, Alexander was taking pictures in a Penn State uniform which is very standard for any recruiting visit. But one of the pictures in the above post shared by Alexander shows him flexing the Georgia “G” from a tattoo he got while he was still with Georgia in 2022.

It’s important to note that Georgia is not involved with Alexander’s transfer portal recruitment at this time. Obviously things could change, but it is unlikely for him to make a return to Georgia.

Regardless of that, it is really cool to see Georgia get this mini shoutout while on a visit to a different program. It’s a nice reminder not just for UGA, but for the rest of the country who’s on top of the college football world, and hopefully that will continue this season in the College Football Playoff.
