Former Georgia QB Aaron Murray has a message for Carson Beck, Georgia fans
Georgia football has four games left in their regular season, and now more than ever quarterback Carson Beck needs to start fixing his mistakes. Beck has now had back-to-back games with three interceptions, but thankfully the Bulldogs were still able to win both games.
But with as difficult as the next two games are for Georgia, his play likely needs to improve if they are going to finish the SEC season with two more wins.
In order to fix those problems, Beck needs to know what he needs to work on. However, the last people Beck should listen to are the fans because the Beck himself, Kirby Smart and everyone else on the team know more than the fans do.
But one other person who Beck could learn from is former Georgia QB Aaron Murray, who recently shared a video online specifically speaking to Beck and the Georgia fanbase as well.
Aaron Murray's message to Carson Beck, Georgia fans
"Play within the system, your plays will come, execute it when they're there, don't force it."
And here is Murray's comments directed towards the Georgia fanbase.
"This is still a very talented quarterback... The silly mistakes are what's keeping Georgia away from being a really, really good offense, from being a team I don't think anyone in the country could deal with."
According to Murray, it really is as simple as being more patient and not forcing it. And that goes for Beck and the fanbase.
Beck needs to take his time and realize that sometimes making the smart play is better than trying to make the miraculous play. Sure he's more than capable of making the big play, but sometimes what he's trying to do just isn't there. The best example of this was when he threw two passes into double and triple coverage agaisnt Florida that resulted in interceptions. Instead, he needs to either throw the ball away or get whatever yards he can get on the ground. And if he needs to take a sack, then that's fine too.
Murray's message to the fanbase is also very important. Murray also feels that Georgia fans need to be more patient with Beck as well, because it is abundantly clear how close this offense is to being elite. There are so many examples where they are moving the ball with ease, but it's the silly mistakes that ruin all the good things they do when they shoot themseleves in the foot. As Murray said, if they can eliminate those silly mistakes, then likely no team will be able to beat this Georgia team.
Georgia's next test to proove themselves is against Ole Miss on Saturday. The Rebels are a serious threat to Georgia, but if the Bulldogs can bring a win back to Athens then UGA fans likely will be believers in this team once again.
