Every season in college football there will be a lot of villains that fans want to cheer against. For Georgia this tends to be certain players and coaches from their traditional rivals. There are however a few villains that the entire SEC as a whole like to root against each season as well.

Connor O'Gara with Saturday Down South recently shared five SEC villains for the upcoming season, and topping that list was none other than former Georgia quarterback Carson Beck.

“You know you’re disliked if you get Florida and Georgia fans to agree on something,” Connor O’Gara wrote via saturdaydownsouth.com. “Florida fans have always had a reason to be anti-Beck after he admitted during the recruiting process that he used Florida to get an offer from Georgia. The Jacksonville native went to Georgia knowing that he’d be a Florida enemy. That’ll be the case again when his new school (Miami) hosts the Gators in Week 4. That speaks for itself. But let’s be honest. Beck is on this list because of how he left Georgia.“

Carson Beck named biggest SEC villain

The above quote from O'Gara paints the perfect picture as to why Beck is the biggest villain to the SEC this season. Georgia and Florida hate each other, but they now have a shared disdain for Beck. Georgia fans aren't happy with the way Beck left UGA this offseason, and Florida fans still have some displeasures for how he treated them during his initial recruiting process out of high school. So these two rivals have now found a common enemy that they can root against this season.

Florida and Miami just so happen to play each other week four this season. Typically UGA fans will cheer against the Gators every week of the year, but there may be a section of the fanbase that would prefer them to beat Beck and the Hurricanes.

Georgia on the other hand does not play Miami this season. However, there is always a chance they could face the Hurricanes in the College Football Playoff, and likely every Georgia fan would love nothing more than to see that matchup take place at the end of this season.

While Georgia and Florida fans have a lot more pressing things they'll be focused on this season, watching how Beck does at Miami will be near the top of that list. And when it comes to Georgia fans, it would be absolutely amazing if Gunner Stockton and UGA have a much better season than Beck and Miami this year.
