One of Georgia football's biggest losses this week came when four-star wide receiver Brady Marchese flipped his commitment to Michigan. Marchese was one of the top wide receivers in the 2026 recruiting class, so he is someone that will be tough for the Bulldogs to replace.
Since most of the 2026 class has already signed with their future schools, Georgia will have to dip their toes in the Transfer Portal if they feel the need to find a replacement for Marchese. And while the Wolverines stole Marchese from Georgia, the Bulldogs could take a look at a receiver from their in-state Michigan State who plans to enter the portal.

Georgia's next wide receiver may already be looking to make the move to UGA
Nick Marsh is a sophomore wide receiver from Michigan State who just wrapped up his second season with the Spartans. Michigan State overall is not a good team as they have missed a bowl game for four straight years, but Marsh has been one of the few bright spots in their program.
This past season Marsh recorded 59 receptions for 662 yards and six touchdowns. This includes seven games where he tallied at least 60 yards which shows how consistent he was for Michigan State this season.
Marsh is a name some Georgia fans might recognize because UGA made a late push for him at the end of the 2024 recruiting cycle. Out of high school Marsh was the No. 107 overall player in the country and No. 2 player from Michigan, so he was an extremely attractive target for many programs. Georgia's late push unfortunately came up short, but all that means is UGA has a prior relationship they can build on if they choose to.
While Georgia has plenty of other positions that will be more of a priority to attack in the Transfer Portal this offseason, UGA could always use more talented receivers. And Marsh will be one of the top options available who has the talent to grow into a top NFL Draft pick in the right situation.
