Four teams that could prevent Georgia from winning a National Championship

Georgia football is looking like a true national championship contender once again, but there are a few teams that they need to be mindful of that could keep them from winning it all.

Texas Longhorns

There is only one SEC team as of today that could realistically take down Georgia en route to a national championship. And that is the team UGA just beat least week in the Texas Longhorns.

Yes Georgia absolutely dominated the Longhorns for 90 percent of the game in their own stadium, but it is extremely hard to beat any team twice in one season. We also need to factor in that Georgia and Texas could still play two more times this season, with potential dates in the SEC Championship game and during the College Football Playoffs.

Georgia would be the favorite if these two teams played again, but with revenge on their mind it would not be surprising to see Texas win. Georgia won the first meeting because of their quick start and 23-0 halftime lead, but there is probably a zero percent chance Georgia does that to this Texas team again.

Now while Georgia clearly has the ability to beat Texas again, it would be extremely difficult. So much so that Texas is probably the one team Georgia wants to avoid the most in the CFP.
