Georgia football has wrapped up their second scrimmage of fall camp, and there were a few Bulldogs who rose to the occasion more than others. All signs have pointed to the offense having a much better performance this time around compared to their first scrimmage, and that includes a running back who appears 100 percent healthy after a run of injuries.

But there was a wide receiver who was potentially the best performer on Saturday during this scrimmage, and that istrue freshman CJ Wiley.

"Smart will likely be asked this week about the continued emergence of freshman CJ Wiley, who is making a move to find a spot in the Bulldogs’ receiver rotation," Mike Griffith shared via dawgnation.com. "Wiley saw a fair share of work on Saturday, per one observer, and is looking the part of contributor."

Mike Griffith wasn't the only Georgia insider that was singing Wiley's praises on Saturday as Graham Coffey with Dawgs Central shared the below post on social media.

CJ Wiley is making a strong case for serious playing time this fall

After the 2024 season where Georgia's wide receivers really struggled, the Bulldogs wide receiver room this season may just be the deepest and most talented on Georgia's entire roster. And the emergence of Wiley is one of the biggest reasons why.

Wiley was the No. 17 wide receiver in the 2025 recruiting class, which is a very strong ranking. And while Wiley has always been part of the long term plan for Georgia at wide receiver, expectations weren't very high for him this season. But that has quickly changed as Wiley has made it impossible to not play him a lot this year.

Wiley will not be a starter for Georgia this season, but he likely will be one of the first receivers off the bench for UGA this year. So don't be surprised to see Wiley make a lot of big plays for Georgia this season and eventually blossom into one of the most reliable receivers Georgia has had in years.
