Georgia football running back Roderick Robinson arrived in Athens in 2023 with a lot of expectations. He was the No. 14 running back in his recruiting class, and he immediately showed that he is a legit back with tons of potential the second he stepped foot on campus.

Injuries have unfortunately derailed his career so far as he has only been able to rack up 28 carries during his two seasons at Georgia.

Robinson however has been having a very strong offseason as he is working back from his latest injury. Fall camp so far has been his best chance to prove he is 100 percent healthy again and ready to receive a lot of playing time this year, and he took advantage of that opportunity on Saturday during Georgia's second scrimmage as he was one of the players that stood out the most on the entire team.

"There was more good news for a Georgia backfield that is shaping up as deeper than last season’s as tailback Rod Robinson continued a successful comeback from the injuries that limited him in 2024," Mike Griffith shared via dawgnation.com.

Roderick Robinson will be featured in a very deep Georgia RB room

Depth was a big issue for Georgia's running back room last season after countless players suffered an injury throughout the season, but that won't be a problem this year. Nate Frazier will undoubtedly be the lead running back, but there is a solid group of three running backs who are pushing for serious playing time behind him.

Robinson is showing that he is one of those players along with Illinois transfer Josh McCray and freshman Chauncey Bowens.

All three players at this point look strong enough in fall camp where they are ready to see significant playing time on the field this season, so finding enough carries for each player could be challenging. But at the end of the day this is a good problem to have, and it is amazing to see that Robinson is fully recovered and ready for a big season on the field.
