Georgia football has been desperately missing something in their backfield the past two seasons. Running back Roderick Robinson has looked like a starting SEC caliber back during his time at Georgia, but injuries have consistently held him back from being able to perform at his best.

However, a recent workout clip went viral on social media showing Robinson doing some hill work this summer, and it looks like the injury bug is finally a thing of the past.

Dynamic Georgia trio is ready to take over Georgia's backfield

Robinson came to Georgia as a member of their 2023 recruiting class. The 247Sports composite rankings named Robinson the No. 13 running back in the country, but he showed his potential is much greater than that during his true freshman season.

Robinson appeared in just five games during his freshman season because of injury, but in those five games he immediately made his presence known. He tallied just 24 carries in 2023, but he was able to rack up 196 yards and two touchdowns. This means he recorded 8.2 yards per attempt which is out of this world in the SEC.

Unfortunately he hasn't been able to avoid the injury bug which caused him to only play in one game during the 2024 season, but the above post shows that he looks more than ready to contribute on the field again.

Nate Frazier will be the starting running back for Georgia this season. Alongside him will be Illinois transfer Josh McCray who will receive a lot of carries as well. But Georgia fans better be ready for Robinson to get a lot of touches as well, because he has a chance to be one of the top running backs in the country if he can stay healthy.

This three-headed monster in Georgia's backfield is exactly what UGA needs to pair with an inexperienced Gunner Stockton under center. And if these three can dominate in the running game, then Georgia has a chance to be one of the top offenses in the country.
