Four-star tight end Jaxon Dollar was one of two recruits to take an official visit to Georgia during G-Day. By all accounts this visit went extremely well, but it's hard to get a good read on how things went until recruiting experts start giving their takes.
Rivals' Steve Wiltfong thankfully did just that as he spoke about where Georgia stands with Dollar, and in a somewhat shocking statement he said that Georgia is the front runner in his recruitment.
"Georgia has always been a front runner"@SWiltfong_ says Miami and Notre Dame are also major contenders for elite TE Jaxon Dollar 👀

Georgia named a front runner for 5-star TE Jaxon Dollar
Fans got a good feeling after Dollar's visit was complete because he made a massive announcement. After not knowing when he was going to commit, just days after this visit to Georgia he said that he would likely make a final decision in the next couple weeks.
At the same time though it wasn't entirely clear if this was good news for Georgia or not. Dollar does have a crystal ball prediction logged in favor of Notre Dame on 247Sports, so until that prediction goes away it's hard to be too hopeful. Maybe Dollar saw what he needed to see at Georgia to rule them out and be all in on Notre Dame.
That however has proven to not be the case based on this statement from Wiltfong. Instead of running in second place like it felt, Georgia is actually a front runner and right up there with Miami and the Irish.
Based on Dollar's statement Georgia won't have much time to convince him that Georgia is the right school for him. He has probably taken his last visit to Athens before committing, so Smart will have to work his magic over the phones to bring this recruitment home.
But it's clear that Georgia has a lot of momentum right now, and hopefully that will turn into a five-star commitment for UGA.
