Georgia has had their fair share of wins over Florida this past year. The football team beat the Gators again and even the basketball team upset a top ranked Florida team about a month ago, but Georgia's dominance over their rival was far from done.

Georgia baseball made the trip to Gainesville this weekend to take on Florida in a three game series. The series began with a close one run victory on Friday night, but that was the only matchup that was remotely close this weekend.

The Bulldogs then beat the Gators 17-2 Saturday afternoon before another dominant victory Sunday afternoon to earn the series sweep over their bitter rival.

Georgia baseball dominates Florida again

The Bulldogs already earned the series win over Florida on Saturday, their first series win in Gainsville since 2006, but going 2-1 against the Gators isn't good enough. So what did Georgia do? They beat Florida again 15-4, this timein just seven innings after the 10-run rule.

Georgia's pitching, which wasn't as great as it was on Saturday, was still stellar as they only gave up four runs on Sunday. Leighton Finley got the start and only gave up one run on two hits, which is huge for his confidence after a rough start to the season. There is definitely a lot of room for improvement still from the Bulldogs' pitchers, but giving up four runs will be good enough to win most games with how hot Georgia's bats have been all season.

Ryland Zaborowski stayed hot at the plate as he went 2-2 with four RBI's which included a 3-run home run to extend his NCAA-leading home run total to 15. Christian Adams joined in on the fun as he hit two home runs of his own. In total, the Bulldogs hit six home runs on Sunday and 15 during the series, which is two more than the total number of runs scored by Florida in these three games.

So if it hasn't already been made clear, Georgia absolutely dominated Florida in every aspect of the game all weekend long.

What's next for Georgia?

The Bulldogs enter the next week with a 24-2 (5-1) record which puts them in a tie for first place in the SEC standings. Georgia has a midweek game on Tuesday at home against West Georgia before hosting rival Auburn over the weekend for a three game series.
