It has been just over two months since running back Amari Latimer committed to the Wisconsin Badgers, but since then, a handful of programs have refused to back down from the four-star prospect, including the Georgia Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs, the Tennessee Volunteers, Florida State Seminoles, and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are all working to flip Latimer's commitment in their direction.
Latimer, who received 47 Division I offers before committing to the Badgers, grew up just two hours from Athens in Tyrone, and is the No. 36 overall prospect out of Georgia in the class of 2026.
Despite growing up so close to the Bulldogs' home base, he took just two unofficial visits to the Bulldogs, while taking official visits with the Badgers, the Yellow Jackets, and the Texas Longhorns.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart and his staff are putting in the work to land Latimer's commitment, but the Bulldogs already have a highly touted running back in their class of 2026: four-star RB Jae Lamar, who is the No. 15 prospect out of Georgia.
The Bulldogs' class of 2026 currently ranks second in the country and No. 1 in the SEC, leapfrogging the Longhorns' recruiting class from the previous year.
The class is headlined by five-star talents such as quarterback Jared Curtis and tight end Kaiden Prothro, as well as highly-rated four-star prospects like cornerback Justice Fitzpatrick, offensive tackle Ekene Ogboko, and safety Jordan Smith.
Yes, Latimer flipping his commitment from Wisconsin to Georgia would be a big-time pickup for the Dawgs, but it isn't a make-or-break deal for the program. No matter what, Smart will have the Bulldogs ready for the 2026 season, with Latimer on the roster or not.
