The past few days have been as unpredictable as ever before. A Georgia coach who has been around for three decades announced his retirement and a current football star met with the President of the United States. No one saw either of those things coming.
But let's first begin with another shocking turn of events that created a lot of concern surrounding a five-star's commitment to Georgia.
5-star QB Jayden Wade addresses his commitment to Georgia
An unfortunate report was published by On3 on Friday surrounding five-star quarterback Jayden Wade's commitment to Georgia. On3 indicated that LSU and Tennessee were aggressively pursuing Wade, and the way they framed it made it seem like he was listening.
But just a few hours later Wade took to social media and posted the words "Go Dawgs." Wade didn't specifically address the On3 report, but it appears that he is still 100 percent committed to Georgia.
Gunner Stockton meets President Donald Trump
One of the strangest things to ever happen to the Georgia football program unfolded on Thursday. President Donald Trump flew to the state of Georgia on Thursday, and waiting for him upon his arrival on the airport runway was Gunner Stockton.
President Trump discussed what makes Stockton such a good quarterback during his speech later that day, and Stockton even had a chance to say a few words as well. People will have their opinions on this interaction, but it's clear that even the President is a big fan of Georgia football.
Men's golf coach announces retirement
Georgia's men's golf coach Chris Haack announced on Friday that he will be stepping down from the program and retiring at the conclusion of the 2026 season. This comes after a career that saw him coach the men's golf team for over 30 years, so he deserves the send off that he will receive throughout the spring.
Replacing him will be his assistant coach Mookie DeMoss who was a player under Haack from 2011-15.
