Tuesday turned into a massive news day for Georgia football as they are gearing up for their second game of the season against Austin Peay. This news included key injury updates for the Bulldogs as well as the new AP Poll being released.

But before getting into that, let's first begin with the Georgia coach who is rumored to be a top candidate to become the next Alabama head coach.

Glenn Schumann named top candidate to be Alabama's next head coach

Alabama has not been the same since Nick Saban left and Kalen DeBoer was hired. Things have gotten so bad that people are already talking about who their next head coach could be after DeBoer is fired. And one of the names that has been floated around as a top candidate is Georgia Defensive Coordinator Glenn Schumann.

It would be pretty strange to see a Georgia assistant become the head coach at an SEC rival like Alabama, but that is the exact thing Kirby Smart did as he was a coach for the Crimson Tide before taking over Georgia 10 years.

It is unlikely that DeBoer will be fired at the end of this season because of how large his buyout is, but if he somehow is let go then Schumann is reportedly one of the top candidates that will be looked at for that opening.
