The college football game everyone will be talking about this week is Georgia's upcoming matchup against Alabama. This game features two undefeated teams who are ranked inside the top six who are both true contenders in the SEC championship and national championship race.
Fans from across the country have their eyes on this game, and all of this extra attention has caused the spread in this matchup to do some crazy things since being set.
Georgia vs Alabama odds won't stop changing
Georgia opened as a 2.5 point favorite over Alabama for their upcoming matchup this weekend. That implied that this game is essentially a coin flip, but Vegas believed that coin flip would land in Georgia's favor.
These odds however have been on the move ever since they were set. As it stands right now Alabama is favored by 1.5 points, according to the DraftKings Sportsbook. This isn't the first time the odds have flipped in the last 24 hours as they have been bouncing back and forth between Georgia and Alabama since the initial spread was released.
This is likely occurring because big fish are betting a lot of money on the game when the team they like is the underdog. These massive bets lead the sportsbooks to then change who the favorite is so they can try to get equal money bet on both teams, and when they do that other big bettors place equally large wagers on the other team who is now the underdog.
This back and forth cycle indicates that Vegas thinks this game is a true 50/50 contest, and in all honesty they are probably right.
Georgia basketball lands 4-star guard Jarvis Hayes Jr.
On Sunday Georgia basketball landed a commitment from four-star guard Jarvis Hayes Jr. He is someone that has been trending to Georgia for months now, but he made his commitment to UGA official on Sunday.

Hayes is the No. 34 overall recruit in the 2027 recruiting class, according to On3. He is the Bulldogs second commitment in this recruiting cycle as he joins Justin Wise who is a top 75 recruit in his own right. These two commitments give Georgia the No. 12 overall class in the country, according to 247Sports.
Hayes' father is a former Bulldog who won SEC Player of the Year in 2002. He is also an assistant coach for Georgia on Mike White's staff, so that certainly helped Georgia earn this commitment.
Previewing Georgia football vs Alabama
Georgia vs Alabama is the biggest game in college football this week. It features the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs traveling to Tuscaloosa to take on the No. 6 Alabama Crimson Tide who are two teams with true aspirations of winning a national championship this season.
Georgia is fresh off another dominant victory after they beat Vanderbilt this past weekend 38-14. This is the narrowest margin of victory Georgia has had all season as they've won all five games this year by at least 24 points. That may have something to do with the level of competition they've played because Alabama is the first ranked opponent they will see this season.
Alabama is also 5-0 after dismantling Mississippi State on the road on Saturday 56-23. They have faced slightly more difficult competition compared to Georgia, but they haven't been as dominant as the struggled to pull away from Florida State and played a closer game against Kentucky than the final score indicates.
Both teams are looking for some revenge in this matchup after Georgia beat Alabama in the SEC Championship game last season and Alabama beat Georgia in Athens during the regular season. The winner of this game will be put on a fast track to make the SEC Championship game, but the loser will need a lot of help if they want to make it to Atlanta.
Kickoff between Alabama and Georgia is scheduled for 7:30 pm EST on Saturday, Oct. 10.
Game odds adjust periodically and are subject to change.
