The recruitment for the No. 1 player in the country is beginning to heat up, so much so that Georgia was accused of leaking private information related to this recruitment. On top of that, Georgia dominated Alabama on the baseball field Friday night as well.

But let’s first begin with the wild acquisition made against Georgia football.

Kirby Smart was accused of leaking Miami’s NIL offer

Five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell is set to announce his commitment on May 13. Cantwell is the No. 1 player in the 2026 recruiting class, so it isn’t surprising that his recruitment is getting a lot of attention.

One aspect of his recruitment that everyone is talking about is his NIL offer from Miami, which On3 reported earlier this week was around $2 million for his freshman season. While it isn’t uncommon for NIL offers to be leaked, Miami fans were not happy that their offer to Cantwell became public.

However, one individual from Miami went as far as to accuse Kirby Smart and Georgia as being the cause of the leak. Who knows if that is true or not, but this is just another wrinkle to Cantwell’s recruitment as his commitment date draws closer.

Jackson Cantwell already sounds like a Georgia commit

Speaking of Cantwell and his upcoming commitment, the five-star tackle will be in Athens this weekend on his final visit. And he was quoted saying something very exciting heading into this trip.

“I could help them kickstart the best class in the country for this year."

Now this doesn’t guarantee that Cantwell will commit to Georgia, but this quote sure does sound like it would be said from someone who is leaning towards UGA.

Georgia baseball dominates Alabama

The regular season is quickly coming to an end for Georgia baseball, and this weekend they hit the road for a three game series against Alabama. Game one against the Tide took place Friday night, and the Bulldogs were dominant en route to a 19-3 victory.

Rain is expected in Alabama on Saturday, so the two teams attempted to play game two on Friday night as well. That game however was rained out in the 5th inning with Alabama leading 6-2.

They will attempt to finish this game Saturday, but if weather prevents that then they will finish game two on Sunday and play game three immediately after.
