Georgia football officially kicked off their spring season as the Bulldogs took the field for the first time on Tuesday. Kirby Smart and a few players also spoke with the media and shared a lot of insight on what the next few months have in store for them.
Georgia baseball also got a big win on Tuesday in the most dramatic way possible, but let's first begin with a call to action Smart made to the fanbase.
Kirby Smart promises new uniforms if fans complete one task
Smart spoke with the media on Tuesday about the beginning of Georgia's spring season and his expectations heading into next season. His press conference included a call to action for Georgia fans who have been begging for UGA to use alternate uniforms during the season.
Smart was specifically asked about a set of all white uniforms that the equipment team recently teased online. He did not confirm that Georgia would be using them, but he did say if fans tripled the subscriptions to "Glory, Glory" then he would make sure they wear them this year.
"Glory, Glory" is an opportunity for fans to contribute to Georgia's NIL by purchasing unique experiences with their favorite teams. So in order to see some new uniforms fans for better or worse are going to have to pay up.
Six new injuries highlight Georgia's first spring practice
During his press conference Smart also shared a few injury updates. These weren't just any injury updates though as he detailed six players that have already been ruled out for all of spring.
This includes some leaders of the team including Drew Bobo, Gabe Harris and Kyron Jones.
This is a big blow as these guys are expected to be some of the better players on the team this season. So not only will they not be able to practice this spring, but they won't be able to take control of the locker room and show the new guys how things work at Georgia either.
Baseball wins in dramatic fashion
Georgia baseball's midweek matchup against The Citadel ended in dramatic fashion after trailing 5-0 at one point in the game. The Bulldogs stormed all the way back to tie the game 5-5 and had two men on with two outs in the bottom of the ninth. That is when Kolby Branch stepped up to the plate and delivered a walk-off home run.

This is the second game in a row that Georgia has come back to win after trailing by five runs. They did so against Tennessee on Sunday to earn the series win over the Vols in their first SEC series of the season.
Up next is a three game series against Texas A&M on the road beginning Friday, March 20.
