Georgia football suffered some tough news regarding one of their commits on Saturday. On top of that, one of UGA’s best 2027 commits is being pursued by one of the top programs in the country right now.

So let’s dive right in and discuss the biggest stories from Saturday which unfortunately we’re not too favorable for Georgia.

Georgia commit Seven Cloud facing legal troubles

Defensive lineman Seven Cloud is the No. 1 Junior College player in the country. Cloud has been committed to Georgia’s 2026 recruiting class since December, but a report on Sunday detailing domestic charges against Cloud will create some doubt surrounding his commitment.

No one from Georgia has commented on this matter yet, and that likely won’t happen until after all the details of his case are sorted out. But until that happens, who knows if Cloud will be a member of Georgia’s recruiting class on signing day or not.

Oregon looking to flip Georgia commit

One of Georgia's two commits in their 2027 recruiting class is corner Donte Wright. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Wright is the No. 81 overall player in the country and the No. 9 corner, so it's easy to see how big of a commitment he is for Georgia.

However, it appears that Wright has not fully shut down his recruitment yet because a new report came out on Saturday indicating that Oregon is still pursuing him. This report did not share how interested Wright is, but seeing a program like Oregon continue to pursue him is very scary.

Kirby Smart named No. 3 active head coach in the country

A new article from ESPN was posted on Saturday ranked the top 25 active head coaches in all of college football. And somehow Kirby Smart came in at No. 3.

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day was named the No. 1 head coach which is definitely up for debate, but that isn't too egregious. However, this article listed Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel ahead of Smart as the No. 2 head coach in the country.

Not only has Heupel not won anything significant at Tennessee yet, he also has lost to Smart all four times they have faced each other. All four of those losses were by at least 14 points as well. So even though Heupel has had a pretty solid tenure at Tennessee so far, he has no business being ranked above Smart on any list.
