Georgia football made a lot of waves on Saturday, which has become a common theme this June. The Bulldogs added yet another commitment while also hiring a former player to their coaching staff as well.
While these two things might seem like the biggest stories from Saturday, that is actually not the case because another UGA program brought home a National Championship on Saturday.
Women's Track and Field win National Championship
Just a few weeks ago the women's tennis team won a National Championship, but they no longer are the most recent championship winning team at Georgia. In what turned into an absolute blowout, the Georgia Women's Track and Field team took home the National Championship, defeating USC by 26 points.

For those who don't follow track and field, this margin of victory is similar to Georgia football's National Championship win over TCU a few years ago. So there really is no better way to win a national title then by dominating the competition in the biggest meet of the season.
Georgia adds another 4-star commitment
Nobody is hotter as hot on the recruiting trail right now than Geogia football is. That sentiment remained true on Saturday after the Bulldogs earned a commitment from four-star corner Caden Harris.
Harris is a top 100 player in the country who was previously committed to Vanderbilt, so there really is no better commitment win than that. Harris also shared that his recruitment was completely shut down after his announcement, so Georgia fans won't have to worry about losing his commitment throughout the rest of the recruiting cycle.
Georgia adds former player to coaching staff
Kirby Smart has made a lot of new hires to his coaching staff this offseason, and that continued again after hiring Jaden Hunter as a Defensive Analyst.

One of the first commitments of Kirby Smart’s first full recruiting cycle in Athens, Hunter will join UGA after being the Asst. LB Coach at Georgia State and DB Coach at Buford High https://t.co/dnFRJ2lTIX
Hunter is a former player for Georgia who was actually part of Smart's first recruiting class after he became the head coach of Georgia. In fact, Hunter committed to UGA just 53 days after Smart officially took over as head coach.
Hunter ultimately transferred to Western Kentucky during his playing career where he became a star in the WKU program, but this is a really nice hire that finally brings a former Bulldog back to Athens.
