Georgia is in the news for all the wrong reasons after forcing their fans to pay their hard earned money just to watch highlights from their week one win. Kirby Smart is yet to comment on this, but he did share the perfect motto he and his team have heading into their week two matchup against Western Kentucky after destroying Tennessee State last week.

Before diving into either of those topics though let's first celebrate Stetson Bennett who just won the backup quarterback job in LA.

Rams name Stetson Bennett their backup quarterback

All offeason Stetson Bennett has battled Ty Simpson for the Rams backup quarterback job. The Rams for the longest time couldn't make up their mind, but with their first game of the regular season on Thursday they had to make a decision and they opted to go with Bennett.

This is the first time in Bennett's NFL career that he has been No. 2 on the depth chart. This doesn't guarantee that he will ever play during the season this year, but if something were to happen to starting quarterback Matthew Stafford then Bennett would get his first chance in an NFL regular season game.

Kirby Smart has the perfect motto for Georgia

Georgia just dismantled Tennessee State by 60 points last week and they have another easy game against Western Kentucky coming up this week. With that being the case it'd be easy for Georgia to take the week off since they know a win is essentially guaranteed.

Kirby Smart isn't letting that happen though as he shared his motto for this week, "You don't have to be sick to get better."

By this Smart means you don't have to face adversity to strive to get better. Georgia can still work hard this week and improve as a team even though they just blew Tennessee State out and will likely do the same to Western Kentucky this weekend.

Georgia can't afford to not get better this week because they still have a long ways to go if they want to win a national championship. They will likely win this weekend with ease, but Smart knows they are building towards something much greater than that.

Georgia NIL collective is charging fans just to view game highlights

Georgia for the most part has always been on the side that NIL money isn't the most important thing to their program. When Kirby Smart is recruiting he doesn't want the players who are trying to drive up their NIL deal, he would much rather get the player who doesn't care as much and is willing to work harder than everyone else.

Unfortunately Georgia's tune might be changing a bit on NIL because their collective "Glory Glory Georgia" put week one game highlights behind a paywall. Fans have to pay $20 per month just to access highlights that have been free and posted on social media in the past.

Fans have voiced their displeasure over this and national accounts are slamming Georgia for this decision as well. So far nothing has changed, so it will be interesting to see if they make the same decision after the Western Kentucky game this weekend.
