News surrounding the Georgia football program on Wednesday was dominated by flip rumors surrounding one of UGA’s commits. On top of that, the Bulldogs also have their eyes set on two flip candidates of their own as well.

But it’s impossible to not begin with the massive Hesiman Trophy betting odds update that impacted a star Georgia player.

Gunner Stockton is officially in the Heisman Trophy conversation

Gunner Stockton had one of the best performances from a quarterback during week one. He not only was efficient with the ball and avoided turning it over, but he also scored two touchdowns through the air and two on the ground with his legs.

This performance officially put Stockton in the thick of the Heisman Trophy race. Entering the season he had the 16th best odds to win the award, but as of this week Stockton now has the 4th best odds to win the Hesiman.

There clearly is still a lot of season left to play, but Stockton has put himself in position to have a remarkable season through week one.
