Georgia football once again won an SEC Championship this season, marking the second year in a row they were able to take down the conference and win the SEC's crown. This championship cemented themselves as the best program in the conference, especially after they were finally able to overcome Alabama in the championship game after countless losses to the Tide over the years.

Georgia also earned a top seed in the College Football Playoff for the second year in a row, which again shows how dominant they have been over the rest of the SEC.

But not only is Georgia dominating the conference on the field, they are carrying the league when it comes to TV viewership numbers as well.

Georgia dominates the SEC in public interest

On3 released the 10 most watched games of the 2025 season, and Georgia found themselves in two of those games. They are one of just two SEC teams who played in two of the top 10 most watched games this season, but the two games Georgia was featured in stand above the rest.

The games dominating this list mainly feature two non-conference opponents. It makes sense that those games dominate the public's interest because they are matchups people don't typically see. But when it comes to games against conference opponents, Georgia is one of the few schools able to bring in a large crowd.

Their games against Ole Miss and Alabama this year were the two games that were included on the top 10 most watched list. Sure Alabama had two games make this list as well, but it took a game against Georgia and one of the greatest stories in history (Indiana) just to make this list.

In 2024 Georgia was the most watched team in the country. They fell a little short of winning that title this year, but yet another year has gone by that has resulted in Georgia bringing in massive viewership numbers which is something most teams in the SEC are unable to do.
