Georgia football has already earned a commitment from five-star quarterback Jared Curtis who will undoubtedly be the future for Georgia under center. But Curtis can't win championships on his own, he needs a lot of weapons around him if UGA wants to give Curtis a chance to lead them to future championships.
One thing Curtis will need is an elite running back who not only will take some pressure of him in the run game, but will also help out in the passing game as well. Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs are after a fair amount of the nation's best running backs, but Adam Gorney with Rivals just predicted which running back will eventually commit to Georgia.
Georgia predicted to land 4-star RB Jae Lamar
Jae Lamar is a four-star running back who is the No. 106 overall player in the country, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He also is the No. 8 running back in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 12 player from his home state of Georgia.
Lamar is someone UGA fans likely are very familiar with because Georgia has been trending in his recruitment for quite some time now. Not only does Georgia now have multiple predictions in their favor in this recruitment, but he also has publicly stated Georgia is his top school not once, but twice.
A timeline for a commitment is uncertain right now, but it is likely just a matter of time until he officially becomes a Bulldog. And this commitment would obviously be huge for the program as it not only would give Georgia one of the top running backs in the country, but one of the best players from the Peach State as well.
Lamar has an official visit to Georgia coming up on June 20, so don't be surprised if this is when he makes things official and commits to Georgia.
