Georgia commit just made it abundantly clear he will not even think about flipping

Kirby Smart almost always ends up signing players like this to supplement his Georgia classes.

Some high school football players were born to be Georgia Bulldogs. It is in their blood. Whether they are a legacy like 2028 tight end commit Asa Wall, or grew up in the vicinity of Athens, there is always at least one guy Kirby Smart does not ever have to worry about flipping. His father JT Wall played fullback for Georgia. He is the head coach at John Milledge Academy in Milledgeville where Asa stars.

Wall spoke recently with Dawg Post about how it is every intention of his to play tight end for Georgia.

“Coach Smart is high on energy and wants everything out of you. The staff is great. They know everything and everyone so if you need something they’re always there to help. UGA is home and if you want to be developed and win, UGA is the place.”

Here is a photo of Wall with Coach Smart during his recent recruiting visit to Athens late last month.

Given how well Georgia develops tight ends, there is no place in the world Wall would rather play at.

Wall is only a sophomore, but he has been committed to Georgia since Oct. 19. Tight ends coach Todd Hartley has been his primary recruiter throughout the process. His elusiveness and versatility could make him a featured weapon for years within the context of the Georgia offense. Last year at John Milledge, Wall had 47 catches for 944 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also thrived on defense.

With plenty of time for all the stars to align next to Wall's name, Smart, Hartley, and the rest of the Georgia coaching staff have to love already having a player like this in tote. Again, these type of homegrown players are the pillars in which so many great teams have been built upon at Georgia. Landing players outside of their wheelhouse has to happen, but at its core, Georgia remains strong.

Overall, Smart can eventually empower Wall to be an internal recruiter to help build up this 2028 class he is going to be a part of. Early on in Smart's tenure leading UGA, homegrown players such as Jake Fromm and Richard LeCounte III did that in their classes. Charlie Woerner and Gunner Stockton were players cut from the same cloth later on. Perhaps Wall can take this baton from them and run with it?

In a day and age where the best coaches have to constantly recruit their own players, this is so nice.
