Georgia football is on flip watch for some of the top ranked players currently committed to other programs. However, there is always a chance one of their commits could flip themselves and head to a new program.

As much as Georgia fans don’t want to admit it could happen to one of the best programs in the country like Georgia, it can most certainly happen and it happens every year. Especially in today’s day and age when NIL deals are out of control, quite literally anything is possible.

Rivals recently named four SEC commits who are on “flip watch” and one of Kirby Smart’s five commits,Jontavius Wyman, was unfortunately named.

4-star DB Jontavius Wyman

Wyman is a four-star corner who according to the 247Sports composite rankings is the No. 166 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 22 player from Georgia and the No. 17 corner in the 2026 recruiting class.

Wyman has been committed to Georgia since last July, but even though he’s been committed for nine months he still doesn’t appear to be locked in. Rivals unfortunately did not give a reason why they think he could flip, but this isn’t the first public sign of Wyman weighing his options. In fact, Wyman has four official visits scheduled this summer to Arizona State, Miami (FL) and Nebraska, along with Georgia.

It isn’t uncommon for recruits to visit other schools after committing to a program, but combining that with the fact Rivals seems confident he could flip is not a great sign for Georgia. But at the end of the day, the Bulldogs still hold Wyman’s commitment, so as long as that continues to be the case then Georgia fans should still be confident he ends up in Georgia’s class when it’s all said and done.
