Four-star defensive lineman PJ Dean made a major update in his recruitment on Tuesday. One of the nation's best defenders shared that he will announce his commitment on June 30 and decide between Georgia, Ohio State and South Carolina.

It was initially unclear after this update which school Dean was leaning towards. Fans on social media from all three schools felt their team led for Dean, but only one team can be his true leader. And that team appears to be Georgia as On3's Steve Wiltfong logged a prediction late Tuesday night for UGA to win Dean's recruitment.

Georgia's recruiting momentum predicted to continue with major DL target

Georgia has earned a commitment each of the last three days. This stretch was capped off by a commitment from three-star defensive lineman Corey Howard, who picked the Bulldogs over rival Florida Tuesday night.

Dean unfortunately won't be committing on Wednesday to keep this streak alive, but Georgia fans will only have to wait a few more days to find out if this prediction comes true or not.

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Dean is the No. 66 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 7 defensive linamen in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 6 overall player from his home state of North Carolina.

As it stands today, Dean would become Georgia's fourth highest ranked commit in their 2026 recruiting class. However, he would be the top commit at defensive line as Georgia fans have been waiting to add an elite prospect along their defensive front.

Recruiting is as unpredictable now as it has ever been, so there is always a chance things go sideways and Dean ends up committing to Ohio State or South Carolina on June 30. But as of right now, Georgia is the leader for Dean and should expect good news in less than a week from the talented defensive lineman.
