It just wasn't meant to be for the Georgia football team in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals against Notre Dame. You knew this team was going to have an uphill battle with Carson Beck out due to his elbow injury, but the mountain proved to be too tall to climb.
Let's be real here, though, UGA offensive coordinator Mike Bobo didn't do Gunner Stockton or the offense as a whole any favors with some of his questionable play-calling. Bobo needed to be at his best, but he wasn't. The same could be said for head coach Kirby Smart, who probably has multiple decisions he'd like back.
Georgia fans are livid with Mike Bobo following the loss to Notre Dame
When it comes to Bobo, however, he's no stranger to Georgia supporters letting him have it because of his brutal decision making. Again, in the loss to Notre Dame, he held this squad back, especially late in the action. Because of that, people are ripping him to shreds on social media, voicing just how angry they are with him:
There were seriously some people on this app fighting to defend Mike Bobo even after he’s proven how god awful he is all year. He has the worst playbook in college football and wouldn’t know what creativity was even if it slapped him in the face

If Kirby doesn’t dump Mike Bobo after this season, I’d be shocked.

Weakest UGA team in YEARS. Still won the conference. Need a QB that can make reads at the LOS. And HAVE to get better in the trenches. And above all else, GET RID of Mike Bobo. He's a doof.

If losing this game results in Mike Bobo Never being an Offensive Coordinator for the Georgia Bulldogs again, then I'm all for it.

Mike Bobo deserves unemployment. He's been atrocious all year and his addiction to screens is insane. Nail in the coffin is calling a screen pass down 13 with 50 seconds left.

Going from Todd Monken to Mike Bobo was an insane downgrade

Mike Bobo gotta go. Invisible wide receiver coach also gotta go.

There are countless more posts showcasing a lot of livid Georgia supporters who have had enough of Bobo ruining their lives. Yes, we knew this was going to be a tough matchup for the Bulldogs, but what else does Smart need to see to figure out that a change has to be made?
There are still some people who think Bobo should return in 2025, but that would not be ideal for this offense. Time and time again he has proven that he can't get the job done for this program. Earlier in the year, folks voiced their desire for a change to be made and now the calls are getting even louder following the loss to Notre Dame. At the end of the day it's Smart's call, but this should be an easy one for him.
