Former Georgia football running back Nick Chubb will always be a fan favorite amongst UGA fans. This was especially the case after he suffered multiple long term injuries in the NFL with the Cleveland Browns.
Fast forward to this offseason though and Chubb now finds himself with the Houston Texans. It's hard to know what to expect from Chubb after the serious injuries he's suffered, but the first highlight of Chubb during a Houston practice gives everyone a reason to be hopeful for the rest of his career.

Nick Chubb looks healthy in first practice highlight in Houston
Chubb immediately got off to a fast start in his NFL career with the Browns when he was just four yards short of rushing for 1,000 yards in his rookie sesaon. The next four years however he was able to surpass the 1,000 yard mark even though he missed a few games each season.
Chubb not only was able to gain a lot of yards on the ground, but he was also able to find the end zone throughout his career a lot as well. During his first five seasons, he scored at least eight touchdowns each season while also scoring a career high 12 touchdowns in 2020 and 2022.
This unfortunately is when Chubb's career took a turn for the worse as he only played in two games in 2023 and eight games in 2024 because of multiple injuries.
The above highlight of Chubb in practice though gives Georgia and Houston Texan fans some hope that he can still have a successful career going forward. Chubb didn't do anything spectacular in the above video, but the fact that he can make sharp cuts and move around with that speed after multiple injuries is very impressive.
Chubb's first preseason game with the Texans is on Aug. 9 against the Minnesota Vikings. This will be his first true action with the Texans, and seeing him excel even in a preseason game would be nothing short of remarkable.
