ESPN’s College GameDay is live in Athens as Georgia gets set to take on No. 5 Ole Miss. No one is better than the GameDay crew at getting fans ready for a big game, and so far that has most certainly been the case at Georgia.
So how is the crew getting Georgia fans ready for their matchup with Ole Miss? At the start of the show the College GameDay crew came out on set donning the classic Spike Squad look that every Georgia fan is familiar with seeing every game day.

College GameDay crew offers nice tribute to biggest Georgia fans
Georgia is home to some of the most passionate fans in the country. But there really isn’t anyone more passionate than the Spike Squad members.
These fans are seen at every home football game wearing their full pads and gear which typically includes crazy face paint and hairstyles. Sometimes they even make the trip to big road games, SEC Championship games and postseason matchups as well. They are also seen in the front row of the Georgia student section every game as well which typically requires them to camp out long before the gates open to ensure they get the best seats.
The outfits they wear are iconic in Athens, so it’s fitting that the GameDay crew chose to steal their look as they prepare Georgia for their showdown with Ole Miss.
Georgia’s fans will play a major role in the Bulldogs game with Ole Miss Saturday afternoon. Even though Lane Kiffin said Georgia’s fans might do more harm than good, everyone knows that an intimidating Sanford Stadium is nearly impossible to win in.
Georgia’s fans will be ready to go for a game as big as this, and with the help of the GameDay crew Saturday morning the atmosphere against the Rebels could be one of the best in the history of Georgia football.
