Georgia football fans have been getting one thing wrong all this time. Over the past two years they have begged for offensive coordinator Mike Bobo to be fired when in reality it is a different coach who should be let go.

Bobo has had his fair share of bad moments, but Saturday's win over Ole Miss was the perfect example of why he deserves to stay on Georgia's coaching staff. The same however can't be said for defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann who once again showed he might not be worthy of being Georgia's long term option as the leader of their defense.

Glenn Schumann is the coach who deserves the most blame

Georgia's defense has not been great this season. In fact, this year's defense might be one of the worst in the Kirby Smart era. The biggest issue with Georgia's defense this year is that they have had horrific starts in almost every game, and that was the case once again on Saturday against Ole Miss.

Georgia gave up a whopping 35 points to Ole Miss, and those 35 points were all scored in the Rebels first five drives of the game. Yes, Georgia gave up five touchdowns the first five times Ole Miss touched the ball.

Schumann and his defense are lucky that Georgia's offense had the best game of their season, because if they didn't Saturday would have been another loss for Georgia.

Schumann does deserve some credit because his defense has had stretches of brilliance this season. Most notably is the fact that both Alabama and Auburn did not score a signle point in the second half aginst Georgia this year.

But his struggles have outweighed the positive moments of his time at Georgia, so it may be time at the end of the season for Smart to go looking for a new defensive coordinator to replace him.
