Five-star running back Kemon Spell has been one of Georgia's top targets since he decommitted from Penn State. Spell was a longtime commit of the Nittany Lions, but after they fired James Franklin he opened his recruitment back up. And after he did so the Bulldogs almost immediately became the favorite to land him.

Notre Dame has been the team to put up the biggest fight so far, but On3 actually predicted Georgia to win this recruitment towards the end of November. The hope was that this news marked the end of his recruitment, but that has not happened. In fact, Spell now looks like he wants to keep his recruitment going much longer as he just announced his top five schools on Tuesday.

Georgia thankfully was included in Spell's top five, but the competition for him is fierce as Notre Dame, USC, Ohio State and Miami (FL) also made the cut as well.

The above post indicates that two teams are separating themsleves, and it's likely that Georgia and Notre Dame are those two schools. On3 still has their prediction in favor of Georgia, but 247Sports actually has a crystal ball prediction still in favor of Notre Dame. So at this point it may be too hard to seperate the two programs, but at worst the Bulldogs are likely in a tie with the Irish for his top spot.

While it is good that Georgia is still in the running, it is a bit frustrating that they aren't the clear leader like On3 thought a few weeks ago. The Bulldogs however still have every chance to win this recruitment, and considering he is the No. 7 overall player in the country this recruitment will be one to follow very closely over the next year.
