The 2025 season is here, and Kirby Smart’s Georgia Bulldogs are locked in for another title chase. With a talented roster, a mix of revenge games, and a brutal SEC schedule, the road to Atlanta won’t be easy for Georgia, but the Bulldogs have the tools to make a serious run.

So let’s break it down game-by-game and see how well Georgia can do this season.

Game 1: Marshall

The Dawgs open the season at home against the reigning Sun Belt champs. Marshall went 10-3 last season but lost many key pieces to the Transfer Portal. And coming to Athens, where Georgia holds the nation’s longest home winning streak (32 games), is a tall task for any team, let alone a Sun Belt team

Prediction: Georgia 49, Marshall 10

Record: 1-0

Game 2: Austin Peay

Seven years ago, Georgia shut out Austin Peay 45-0. Nothing suggests this year will be any different as the Bulldogs will get another tune-up game before things this season get real.

Prediction: Georgia 50, Austin Peay 3

Record: 2-0

Game 3: @ Tennessee

This was supposed to be a massive early SEC battle until star quarterback Nico Iamaleava transferred to UCLA. Knoxville is always tough and this will be Gunner Stockton’s first SEC road test. Still, Georgia’s talent wins out in a gritty contest before their first bye week.

Prediction: Georgia 21, Tennessee 17

Record: 3-0 (1-0)

Game 4: Alabama

No Nick Saban, but Bama is still Bama. Last year the Tide stormed to a 28-0 lead before Georgia clawed back and took a late lead only to lose 41-34. Until Georgia proves they can flip the script, it is hard to not give the Tide the edge, even with a first year starter in Ty Simpson at quarterback.

Prediction: Alabama 27, Georgia 23

Record: 3-1 (1-1)

Game 5: Kentucky

Kentucky tends to hang tough, but Georgia will be hungry after their loss to Alabama. The Dawgs will rebound in a big way in front of the home crowd and re-establish their momentum.

Prediction: Georgia 30, Kentucky 13

Record: 4-1 (2-1)

Game 6: @ Auburn

Jackson Arnold at QB and Eric Singleton Jr. at wide receiver from Georgia Tech give Auburn some juice. But Georgia’s depth and discipline shine through in a business-like road win to keep their win streak alive against the Tigers.

Prediction: Georgia 23, Auburn 10

Record: 5-1 (3-1)

Game 7: Ole Miss

Ole Miss stunned UGA in 2024, but this one’s in Athens. Expect a raucous crowd and a second half takeover by the Bulldogs as Georgia looks to avenge their most embarrassing loss from a season ago.

Prediction: Georgia 38, Ole Miss 20

Record: 6-1 (4-1)

Game 8: Florida (Jacksonville)

Quarterback DJ Lagway is the real deal and Dallas Wilson headlines a loaded Florida wide receiver room. Florida’s getting hype, but Smart loves playing the underdog card. Georgia will come out fired up and send a message in Jacksonville that no one will forget.

Prediction: Georgia 30, Florida 20

Record: 7-1 (5-1)

Game 9: @ Mississippi State

This is the classic trap game that could do Georgia in. But UGA's championship mindset won’t let them stumble here as they will roll through Starkville with a focus and intensity that only true champions possess.

Prediction: Georgia 40, Mississippi State 16

Record: 8-1 (6-1)

Game 10: Texas

Circle this one in the thickest black sharpie possible as the entire college football world will be watching this game closely. The Bulldogs beat Texas twice last season, once in Austin and once in the SEC title game. This has the feel of a budding rivalry, but Georgia owns the mental edge and makes another statement late in the season.

Prediction: Georgia 31, Texas 17

Record: 9-1 (7-1)

Game 11: Charlotte

An easy week in Athens gives Georgia a game that will feel like another bye week. Expect a dominant showing as UGA polishes things up before rivalry week.

Prediction: Georgia 49, Charlotte 7

Record: 10-1 (7-1)

Game 12: Georgia Tech (Atlanta)

Georgia Tech nearly pulled off the upset last year in a wild 44-42 eight-overtime thriller. This time, Georgia will not mess around. This will be a tough game early, but the Bulldogs will wear them down and win comfortably.

Prediction: Georgia 30, Georgia Tech 21

Final Record: 11-1

If Georgia takes care of business, an 11-1 season would put them right in the thick of the SEC title and College Football Playoff race. The biggest hurdle? Beating Alabama. But if the Bulldogs can stay healthy and Stockton proves steady, this could be another special season in Athens.
