Georgia football is continuing to improve their relationship with the No. 1 quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class. The title of the best QB in the country goes to Jared Curtis, who is the No. 4 overall player in the country according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He also is the top ranked player from his home state of Tennessee as well.
Curtis has been on Georgia’s radar for many years, and he was even committed to Georgia throughout 2024. But he unfortunately decommitted from Georgia towards the end of 2024, but that did not end his recruitment with Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs.
Since decommitting from Georgia, Curtis has continued to hear from Smart and his staff, and it appears he is still very high on Georgia. In fact, Curtis recently released his top six schools, and Georgia made the cut along with five other elite programs.
The good news however has not stopped there as Curtis announced three official visits he has scheduled for later this summer, and UGA was once again included.
5-star QB Jared Curtis schedules three visits
According to Hayes Fawcett with On3, Curtis has scheduled three official visits for this summer. These visits are with Georgia, Oregon and South Carolina, who were all included in his top six as well.
Curtis will take his visit to Athens from June 13-15, which will likely be a very busy recruiting weekend for Smart and his staff.
It’s unclear at this time where Georgia stands in this recruitment compared to the five other schools to make his top six, but this recent news make it seem like Georgia is in the top three. Regardless, there is still a lot of time left in this recruitment, so Smart and his staff have plenty of time to work their magic with Curtis. And hopefully when it’s all said and done, this recruitment ends with Curtis committing to Georgia for a second time.
