Georgia football has been receiving a lot of good news over the last 24 hours. The first news came in the form of UGA landing an elite duo of transfers from USC in star wide receiver Zachariah Branch and his brother Zion Branch. And while news doesn't really get much better than that, Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs got equally good news Monday morning on the defensive side of the ball.
Star defensive lineman Christen Miller has been at Georgia for two years now and is coming off a solid season where he recorded 27 tackles, 1.5 sacks and one pass defended. Miller had a big decision in front of him this offseason as he could have declared for the NFL Draft, but Miller announced on his Instagram that he will be returning to Georgia for the 2025 season.

Christen Miller will be a leader on defense next season
Miller may not have had the best stats this season for Georgia, but he had an all around great season on the defensive line for the Bulldogs. He showed that he is at his best as a run stuffer and is also more than capable of getting to the quarterback as well. And now that he has this past season of experience under his belt, the expectations for him next year will be very high.
And Miller likely will meet those expectations as he not only will likely be a starter on the team, but one of the leaders on the defense. Georgia's defensive line has always been a strength during the Smart era, and that will not be changing after this announcement.
Even though Georgia's season did not end how anyone had hoped, the expectations for next season are already extremely high. And if Georgia continues to receive good news like this, then those expectations will continue to rise as UGA will not be going anywhere.
