Georgia football is aggressively pursuing 4-star USC wide receiver commit
Kirby Smart is doing what he does best and is beginning to dominate the recruiting trail. He specifically is on fire when it comes to flipping recruits from other schools.
Already this week, Georgia football has earned commitments from two players who were previously committed to other programs, including four-star wide receiver Tre Harris on Wednesday night. And it appears that Smart and his staff may have their eyes set on yet another flip target in the 2025 class.
4-star WR Romero Ison
According to Adam Gorney with Rivals, Georgia is reportedly showing a lot of interest in four-star wide receiver Romero Ison.
Ison is the No. 371 overall player in the country according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He also is the No. 53 wide receiver in the country as well as the No. 9 player from his home state of Maryland.
Ison has been committed to USC since April of this year, but that commitment does not seem anywhere close to official.
According to this Rivals report, Ison was at Penn State this weekend when the Nittany Lions played Ohio State in the featured game of the college football weekend. There are also rumors swirling that he could visit Georgia next weekend when they host Tennessee, but that is not confirmed yet.
This will be an interesting recruitment to follow during the last month of this recruiting cycle. If Smart and his staff are as interested as they seem, there has to be a good chance he flips to Georgia, especially if Ison visits Athens next weekend.
So hopefully Smart is able to make that happen, because the more recruits that Georgia can flip from other programs the better. Georgia also has a chance to finish with the No. 1 recruiting class in the country, and a player like Ison would help them accomplish just that.
