As the 2025 recruiting cycle is coming to an end, Georgia football and Kirby Smart are looking to finish strong and retain their No. 1 ranked recruiting class for the second year in a row. That is where the Bulldogs currently find themselves according to 247Sports, but there is a lot of work to do still if Georgia is going to end the cycle there.

One position Smart and his staff have been aggressively targeting is quarterback. Even though four-star QB Ryan Montgomery is still committed to Georgia’s class, it is clear that Smart wants to add another QB to the mix.

One five-star QB Georgia has been pushing for is current Cal commit Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele. Sagapolutele was originally supposed to visit Georgia for the Tennessee game, but his high school team was still alive in the playoffs so he delayed his visit until the Georgia Tech game this Friday.

However, it appears that visit will no longer occur because On3 has reported that Georgia is no longer in the running in his recruitment.

Sagapolutele is no longer interested in Georgia

Not getting Sagapolutele in Georgia’s class isn’t the worst thing in the world considering UGA does have Montgomery already committed. But there’s no denying how great it would have been had he chosen to come to Georgia as well.

The Bulldogs do however appear to be on the verge of earning that coveted second QB commit as they just received a prediction to flip three-star QB Hezekiah Millender from Boise State. While Millender may not be as talented as Sagapolutele, he will still be a great depth piece that will be able to develop over the course of his Georgia career.

So it doesn’t look like UGA will be adding a five-star QB to their class this year, but they do have their eyes set on other five-stars in the class. So be sure to stay tuned as these next few weeks are surely going to be a wild ride for Georgia.
