Georgia football is in the middle of their second week of spring ball, and while it is very exciting to see how the team is looking in the offseason, it is also fun to see how things are going on the recruiting trail as well.
College football was in a recruiting dead period throughout February, so now that this dead period is over, recruits can start visiting campuses again. And it's typically safe to assume that a school who gets one of a recruits first visits after a dead period is likely high on their list.
This theory is great news for Kirby Smart and Georgia because the Bulldogs are hosting the No. 1 ATH in the country this week, according to On3's Steve Wiltfong.
Georgia is set to host an elite group of recruits this week, headlined by 5-star CB Brandon Arrington, @SWiltfong_ reports🐶

5-star ATH Brandon Arrington
Brandon Arrington is a five-star ATH from Spring Valley, CA. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Arrington is the No. 8 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 1 ATH in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 1 player from California as well.
Arrington released his top 10 schools last month, and Georgia made the cut along with a few other heavy hitters including Alabama, USC, Oregon and LSU. However, there wasn't much known about who his leader out of these 10 schools was, but this upcoming visit to Georgia is a sign that the Bulldogs could be high on his list.
Unfortunately for Georgia, 247Sports does not list Georgia as one of the five "warm" schools in his recruitment, but that could change after this visit. On3 on the other hand paints a different picture as they name Texas A&M as the heavy favorite, giving the Aggies an 84.6 percent chance to win this recruitment.
Time will tell how things pan out for Georgia, but this visit this week is a good sign for Georgia in their pursuit of Arrington.
