This was completely unexpected.

Georgia football is one of the most successful programs in all of college football right. Their success doesn’t impact their core fans all that much because Georgia fans are loyal enough to stick by their side even when they don’t have a good season. But their recent run of success has helped them add even more fans to their fanbase over the last decade.

This also includes celebrities who are always drawn to the best teams in the country. But it just so happens that President Donald Trump is a fan of Georgia football now as well.

Donald Trump proclaims his Georgia fandom

President Trump spent the day in Georgia on Thursday, and upon his arrival quarterback Gunner Stockton and former running back Herschel Walker welcomed him at the airport. The three were capturing shaking hands and saying hello to each other in a moment that absolutely no one saw coming.

That however wasn't the end of it. During President Trump's speech later that day he spoke about Stockton and what makes him a great quarterback. This is something he didn't have to do, but for whatever reason he felt compelled to say a few words about Stockton.

Stockton was even given a chance to speak as well during President Trump's speech.

Georgia has one of the biggest fanbases in the country. Their fanbase however has continued to grow over the past decade throughout Kirby Smart's run of dominance. And while no one saw this coming, it turns out that President Trump is the latest person to proclaim their Georgia fandom.

It's unlikely that President Trump will ever interact with Georgia again, he is far too busy to be too worried about what the football program is doing. But it is clear that he is a fan of what's going on in Athens and will be cheering Georgia on this season from afar.
