Georgia football is looking to get some revenge against Miami (FL) after former UGA quarterback Carson Beck announced that he is transferring to the Hurricanes. Now it is likely impossible for Kirby Smart and Georgia to steal a player from Miami that is of the same caliber as Beck, but that won't stop the Bulldogs from giving it their best effort.

As of now, Georgia is not publicly targeting a former Miami player in the transfer portal, but they are going after a current player in the 2026 recruiting class who has been committed to the Hurricanes for quite some time.

Linebacker Jordan Campbell

Jordan Campbell is a linebacker from Opa Locka, FL who is one of the top players in the country. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Campbell is the No. 66 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 4 linebacker and No. 10 player from his home state of Florida.

Campbell has been committed to Miami for over a year now, with the talented linebacker verbally committing to the Hurricanes on Nov. 21, 2023. One would normally think that a player that has already been comitted to a school for over a year is 100 percent locked in with that program, but that does not appear to be the case.

According to John Garcia Jr. with Rivals, Campbell has scheduled a visit with Georgia on Jan. 19. Campbell also has visits to Auburn and Alabama the two days before his trip to Athens as well.

So while it may seem like Campbell is locked in with Miami, the fact that he has visits scheduled with three major programs suggests otherwise. It's unclear at this time if Georgia has a chance at flipping Campbell or not, but that sure would feel good after the recent news from Beck.
