Georgia football is after many of top recruits in the country in the 2026 recruiting class. That fact will not surprise anyone because that is what Kirby Smart and his staff do every recruiting cycle. But some of the recruits Georgia are after are extremely exciting.
This is especially true at the quarterback position, where the Bulldogs have stayed in contact and even received some good news from the No. 1 QB in the country who used to be committed to Georgia. But he is not the only elite quarterback Georgia is after. In fact, the Bulldogs are working on flipping another elite five-star QB from a powerhouse program in the SEC.
Georgia just offered and Alabama and LSU continue to recruit Texas 5-star QB commit Dia Bell.

5-star QB Dia Bell
Dia Bell is not just one of the best quarterbacks in the country, he is one of the top players in the entire 2026 recruiting class. According to On3's Industry ranking, he is the No. 13 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 4 QB and the top ranked player from his home state of Florida.
Georgia very recently got involved in Bell's recruitment as they offered the talented QB a few days ago on Jan. 17. Another interesting note is that this offer came from Offensive Coordinator Mike Bobo who was in Florida visiting Bell in person when the offer was made. And according to this report, Bobo even missed his son's senior football banquet to make this offer.
The unfortunate news for Georgia is that this recruitment will be even more difficult to win than you may have originally thought because Bell has been committed to Texas since June of 2024. LSU, Alabama and Miami (FL) are also aggressively targeting Bell as well, so Georgia is not alone in their pursit of him.
It will be exciting to see if Bell shows any interest in Georgia after receiving this offer. This will be Georgia fans indication if UGA even has a chance in this recruitment or not. But if Bell continues to talk with Georgia's staff and even plans a visit to Athens, that's when we will know that Georgia has a serious chance to steal Bell from Texas.
