Georgia football recently added their sixth commitment to their 2026 recruiting class on March 15 when 3-star WR Brady Marchese made his commitment to the Bulldogs official. But that only marked six commits in Georgia's class, so there is clearly still a lot of work for Kirby Smart and his staff to do.
But before Georgia can earn another commitment, they need to first keep being named a finalist for the recruits they are targeting. And that is exactly what happened with one of the top linebackers in the country on Tuesday.
NEWS: 4-star LB Nick Abrams is down to Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Penn State and Oregon with a comment date set for his birthday.

4-star LB Nick Abrams
Nick Abrams is a four-star linebacker from Owings Mills, MD. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Abrams is the No. 212 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 15 linebacker in the 2026 class and the No. 6 player from his home state of Maryland.
According to On3's Chad Simmons, Abrams has released his top five schools, and Georgia made the cut along with Alabama, Penn State, Oregon and Michigan.
Abrams also shared when he will announce his commitment, which will take place later this summer on his birthday on July 16. This theoretically will give him time to take an official visit to all five of his finalists throughout May and June before his birthday arrives.
No official predictions have been made in Abrams' recruitment yet, and even On3's recruiting predictor hasn't been updated yet as they still favor a school that isn't even inside his top five. So that means this recruitment is still wide open, with all five teams having a realistic chance to win this recruitment.
Time will tell if Georgia will be the team that ends up on top, but for now they are in a great spot with Abrams and will continue to work on bringing him on campus for another visit.
