Georgia football is fresh off their first massive recruiting weekend of the summer as the Bulldogs brought in nine official visitors to campus this past weekend. On top of that, Kirby Smart had many recruits take unofficial visits this weekend as well.
The hope heading into these important weekends is that Georgia will create serious buzz from the recruits that are on campus to the point where a couple of them may commit to Georgia on the spot. It's unclear at this time if any recruits plan to commit to Georgia, but the reactions from these recruits after their visit show that it was an extremely successful weekend for Smart and his staff.

Biggest takeaway from Georgia's official visits
As mentioned, Georgia brought in nine very talented recruits on official visits this weekend. Of those nine recruits, eight of them were four-stars with the ninth recruit being a five-star offensive lineman. Out of all of these recruitments, the one that is now the most interesting is four-star linebacker Shadarius Toodle.
Toodle is a top 200 player in the country and a top 10 linebacker as well, but the problem is that Toodle has been committed to rival Auburn since last July.
That however didn't stop him from visiting Georgia this past weekend, and it appears Toodle is very high on Georgia. So much so that the first post listed above states that UGA is his new "number one." Who knows if this will eventually lead to Toodle flipping his commitment from Auburn to Georgia, but this is something UGA fans will want to monitor closely.
Georgia has many more official visit weekends just as big as this past weekend coming up throughout the month of June, so look for UGA to continue to pursue their top recruits and hopefully earn some commitments in the coming weeks.
